You have probably heard about Lauren Hill, the 19-year-old girl fighting DIPG in Cincinnati. ESPN did a Tom Rinaldi piece last night, her story was on the Today Show this morning and on all the news programs earlier tonight. Lauren has selflessly committed her remaining days to giving a voice to all children fighting this horrible condition. Her idea was to grow awareness and funding for DIPG research through her final NCAA college basketball game – She plays for a Division III School and her last game was yesterday … She scored 4 points and there were 20,000 tearing eyes in attendance. It was special, it was all for Lauren.
Lauren has issued a challenge to all — Spin around 5 times and try to make a lay up with your non dominant hand. This challenge symbolizes what it’s like to have DIPG and try to play as she did on Sunday — If you miss, you pay $10 to The Cure Starts Now Foundation. After you try, you need to challenge 3 – 5 people to do the same.
This challenge is already growing to a massive level — Lebron James has committed to trying it, as well as a couple NFL quarterbacks, national personalities and beyond …. And this is only one week into the challenge.
Lauren and The Cure Starts Now needs your help to help this gain momentum – Sooner the better. Our request is that you do the challenge yourself, make the donation and put it up on Twitter or Facebook to spread the word … #layup4lauren. This is going to spread like wild fire, which will get us closer to preventing children and their families from enduring the unthinkable reality of DIPG.
Thanks guys, we appreciate your willingness to help — Together with Lauren, we will make a difference.

We wanted to share a dancing memory with you all as we continue to create new memories.
On Friday, November 14th at Interlakes High School at 6:30 PM our friend Kathleen Burke is raising money for our New Hampshire Chapter of The Cure Starts Now Foundation — She will be nothing short of a star as she takes part in “Dancing with Community Stars” in John’s memory.
Kat has teamed up with an amazing professional dancer and on the night of November 14th as they dance like stars the audience members will cast votes with dollars — Each dollar equals 1 Vote. The dancing team with the most votes will receive 50% of all the money raised (for their charity) and all the other dance teams / charities divide up the remaining funds raised. We’re very excited and proud that Kat chose to dance for John and our cause, so please take a moment to support her efforts and get your tickets soon, they won’t last long!
Please make a donation in advance at Kats donation page: Donate to the Event.
You can buy tickets to the event here: Tickets to the Event.
Thanks everyone — We are doing well and appreciate the continued support.
Hope this will make you laugh!
Thanks Aunt Katherine for putting this together for us!!!
We Love You!

Yesterday, we had a showcase at our school. My class did a show about and what it means to be a friend. A few of us had speaking roles and I gave a poem. Just after my poem, we all stood to sing and dance to Lean on Me. We practiced for a long time and it paid off.
I know my parents and all our friends are going to have a wonderful night tonight up at Gunstock. Thank you all for being our friend and for always being there. Like the walls of our house, we can always lean on you.
What a way to end a great weekend. We had a blast at Clark’s yesterday and today we went wakeboarding, even though it was raining. It was awesome! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and made some memories like we did!!!
John and Cooper happy to see each other again!
We’re excited for many more wonderful days at the beach.
